This measure shows the number of persons aged 18+ in CWaC who are self-reported smokers in the Office for National Statistics Annual Population Survey.
Why is this important?
Public Health England states that smoking is the most important cause of preventable ill health and premature mortality in the UK. Smoking is a major risk factor for many diseases and is a modifiable lifestyle risk factor.
